Vitoria Menjivar is a soft spoken native of El Salvador. She has lived in Sherman for more than three decades. Her backbone are her five sons, who all support her new venture, including her husband Jeremias Menjivar, who also helps in the restaurant.

The Youngest of the five sons, Walter Menjivar, (also soft spoken, yet outgoing) is the other half of the duo. While Victoria is in the kitchen, he is at the front taking care of clients.

This Duo Gives La Placita more than just a face for the community to know, but also to see the importance of family support.
Before 2007 this mother of five made the traditional Salvadorian pupusas, at home for friends and family. She used the money from cooking to help pay for Walter’s college courses.

After Graduating Walter worked for a bank as a financial advisor and saw the opportunity to start a family business.He and brothers set into action.
